Legacy

“Oh it’s you I know, you’re the one I dream of. Looks into my eyes, takes me to the clouds above. Oh I lose control, can’t seem to get enough. When I wake from dreaming, tell me is it really love.”

I stood at the door watching Santana with Dakota and Kamden. It was going on 10 pm and Dakota was in her bed lying down as Tana sang along with Sam Smith. She was shy as hell but her voice was pure. I loved listening to her.

“Said there’s no mistaking, what I feel is really love.” She looked up at me and smiled. I ran my hand down my face masking the smile that crept across my face. Shit was crazy. She gave me butterflies.

Kamden sleepily rubbed his eyes as Santana stroked Kota’s hair. She finished out the song and once Dakota was asleep, she stood up. I watched her cut off the light and place a kiss on her forehead before backing out the room and closing the door.

“Your son is fighting his sleep.” She told me placing him over her shoulder and rocking as we walked into the living room. I sat down on one of the bar stools as Tana paced the floor with Kamden.

“He don’t like you no more.” I chuckled causing Tana to stale face me.

“Shut up ugly. Him is a mommy’s baby. Ain’t that right Prince?” she cooed at my son.

“Nahhh, that’s daddy man. You trippin’.”

She smiled. “Don’t try to turn my baby on me. You already took Kota.”

“It’s that N’awlins charm baby. That’s how I got your fine ass too.” I grinned and pulled at my hair.

“It’s time for a haircut.”

“Ummm, let’s not and say we did.”

“Or let’s try Tana and see if you don’t wake up with a patch in your head.” She shrugged. “Your choice.”

“Your short ass evil as shit man.”

I watched her pace the floor some more, cooing and rocking Kamden but he was up.

“Put his lil ass in the bouncer and turn it on. He’ll fall asleep.”

“But I missed my booga bug.”

“Did you just call my seed a booga?”

She rolled her eyes at me and kissed Kam’s head before putting him into his bouncer. Santana strapped him in and turned it on before walking back over to where I was. I pulled her between my legs and kissed her.

“How you feeling ma?”

“Better pa.”

I nodded. “Glad ta here that. You scared me shitless this morning.”

“You? Shitless? No way in hell. You always gotta shit.”

She always had jokes. I slapped her ass making her whine.

“I’m serious. I thought you had run.”

“Never. I’m done with the running. I have everything I want and need right here with you.”

“Betta.” I slapped her ass again before kissing her neck. I buried her face there causing her to giggle.

“Baby what are you doing?”

“You smell good.”

“Pink Chiffon.” She smiled as if I knew what the fuck she was talking about but instead of making her talking ass explain, I smiled back and nodded my head then put my face back in her neck.
